January update from Graham Mackay Photography
Hi
I hope you all had a great time over the festive season, it seems so long ago now.
Our new Newsletter went out at the end of last month to over 250 Brides planning their big day and we have had great feed back. Over the next few days our website will have links that will allow you to register your email address and join the growing list of subscribers.
Since our last blog we had a lovely wedding at the Royal Hotel in Bridge of Allan, Georgia got married to Russell, a cold day but we managed all the photographs outside, without any blue noses!
Another lovely wedding last month, at the same venue was Marie & Michael, again it was a cold day but we still manged to get along to Airthrey Castle at Stirling Uni campus for additional photographs. The Bride & Groom were great and we got some lovely images. M & M were off to the Cape Verde Islands for some warmer weather.

OTHER NEWS
Higher Image our Ground based Aerial Photography business has been stirring up lot of interest at the Wedding shows we have been attending. The system allows us to capture photographs from a height up to 26m. We have used this at weddings for WOW factor shots at the door of the venue.
We are now hoping to also include aerial photographs of the bridal party when I am taking the group photographs. On a nice day this will also include images of the guests interacting with one another unaware of the " Eye in the Sky ".
This will add a completely new dimension to your wedding album. As far as we are aware there is no other Wedding Photographer in Scotland with this capability, so you could be the first Bride & Groom to have Higher Image during the photography session. For more details please click on the top image

Higher Image has many other commercial uses, it is used by Housing Associations for roof inspections on their stock of properties. We also work for Glasgow City building and advertise in the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations Directory www.higherimage.co.uk

Lastly, have you every thought about having your wedding in the Costa del Sol?
Too expensive, don't know where to start?
Well it might not be as expensive as you think. I am meeting with some Wedding planners
in Spain next week. I want to discuss putting a package together to offer Scottish
couples an opportunity to have a Marbella Wedding.
I'll let you know how it goes in my next Blog.
If you would like any more information on Photography, Films or any general questions then please drop me an email, sent a message via our Facebook page or catch us on Twitter. We are here to help!
Best Wishes
Graham

Festive Blog from Graham Mackay Photography

Welcome to the festive blog of Graham Mackay Photography.
December has been a great month to catch up on things. We are getting ready for the launch of our new Newsletter in January and we are busy speaking to our colleagues and other wedding suppliers that we will be promoting during the course of the year. My aim is to build a small team of professional wedding suppliers who will do their utmost to ensure your big day is a spectacular success.

My colleagues have been working in the wedding business for many years and will offer experience and trust, I hope this will bring confidence and reassurance that you are in good hands leaving you to spend more time on getting the other important arrangements attended to.
Okay! What have we been up to over the last Month, the Glasgow Hilton Charity night went really well with over 600 guests. Our Event Team worked heroically from 7pm until midnight taking photographs and printing them for the guests to take home.
A slide show has been produced, it can be seen at here

The Studio has been busy with portraits and it was rented out by an English based photographer who has been running courses "North of the border". The day was attended by 6 photographers from various parts of Scotland. Dee our model was great to work with, here are a few images that were taken.

GRAHAM MACKAY PHOTOGRAPHY
Welcome to our first blog, which will hopefully, be the start of many as we expand and promote out Wedding Photography business during 2013. Many things are happening with the new team coming on board, the website being professionally optimised, social media sites being integrated and a new quarterly newsletter being prepared as part of our email marketing programme.
November was a busy month for us with Mikaela & Thomas getting married on the 3rd, Leanne & Stuart on the 10th and Georgia & Russell on the 30th. Tonight we are at the Glasgow Hilton for a Charity Dinner Dance where our Events team will be capturing all the action and we will be printing our photographs for the guests to take away.
A lot may be happening with us but at the forefront of all of this is YOU our client.
Having being involved in the wedding business for 20 years we have a wealth of experience and knowledge which we would like to share with you.
In order to be successful in these challenging times a Wedding Photographer has to be
good at what he does, be competitive, be a good communicator, be knowledgeable and helpful but the most important thing is, he has to care about his customers. These are the values that differentiate us from our competition.
Over the years our Videography team has captured hundreds of wedding speeches, some have be good, some have been okay and some have been great. We have kept a record of the best jokes, stories and funny incidents that have happened and we would like to share these with you. We are sure the Groom and Best man would like to have a flick through the pages! We are in the process of compiling an e-book and this will be available at the start of 2013 free of charge through our website.
Another exciting development with GMP is a new Honeymoon Package that will include your wedding photographs, wedding film and your Honeymoon at a fabulous apartment at the Santa Maria Golf & Country Club in Marbella. This will be available for wedding couples or family members from the end of 2013. Further details will be posted on our first quarterly Newsletter, which will be sent out at the end of January. To register for the newsletter please click here.
As mention this will be the first of many blogs, our aim is to make these informative, amusing and hopefully helpful to the many wedding couples planning their wedding
in 2013/14 or in the years ahead. We would also like to feature stories of wedding couples from the initial contact with us right through to the collection of their album.
If you and your fiancé would be interested in this then please let us know as you will end up with a lovely diary of all the challenges, fun and laughs you had organising your big day!
As a final note I would just like to thank all those couples that have booked us for 2013 and 14. We aim to ensure that all our Bride & Grooms will be more then delighted with the quality of our work. That is my personal guarantee.
Best Regards
